VELOX Marine is a specialist supplier of yacht spare parts operating within the European Union. We provide procurement and worldwide delivery services to yacht owners, captains, shipyards, and marinas.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679) and applicable Polish data protection law (UODO), the EU-based private operator trading under the VELOX Marine brand acts as the Data Controller of any personal data submitted through this website.

Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under GDPR Article 6:

Art. 6(1)(b) — Contract performance: processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering a sales contract (fulfilling your parts request and providing a quote).
Art. 6(1)(a) — Consent: for optional tracking cookies and campaign analytics, where you have given your consent via the cookie banner.
Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interests: for security logging (IP address, user-agent) to protect our systems against abuse.

Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses two categories of browser storage:

Essential (always active) A single cookie (velox_cookie_consent) stores your cookie preference so we don't ask again on your next visit. No personal data, no tracking.

Analytics / Campaign tracking (consent required) If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we store UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), the referrer URL, and the landing page URL in a cookie (velox_tracking). This helps us understand which advertising channels generate inquiries. If you click Reject, no tracking data is written. Consent can be withdrawn by using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer or by clearing your browser cookies.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. All analytics data stays on our own server.

Cookie lifetime: 180 days from the date of consent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

For operational purposes, submitted inquiry data may be processed through our internal systems and communication tools. Access to these messages is limited to authorised VELOX Marine administrators. We may also retain inquiry data in our internal order-management database hosted on our private infrastructure.

We may be required to disclose data to competent authorities if mandated by law, court order, or regulatory requirement.

Data Retention

We retain personal data submitted through inquiry forms for 5 years from the date of submission, in line with standard business correspondence and potential contractual obligations.

Cookie and tracking data expires after 180 days.

You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 8 below.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Our website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted to our private server infrastructure and are not processed by third-party form services. Internal database access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform affected individuals without undue delay, as required by GDPR Art. 33–34.
